The Best New Fest in Town – Blending Empowerment & Worldly Entertainment

vabs15postcard

Burlesque is now huge, with festivals in Milan, Amsterdam, New York, and now Richmond.  The Virginia Burlesque & Sideshow Festival exploded onto the RVA scene two years ago with a very successful, well-attended weekend and expects to swell in attendance, community support, and artistic caliber for 2015.

This Virginia Burlesque & Sideshow Festival was created to:

  • Present empowering entertainment and mature themes to a smart, progressive audience that values both levity and gravity in the performing arts.
  • Supply both beginners and career performers with opportunities to network, learn, and innovate their art, businesses, and lives.

To this end, we are bringing in artists from across the US and as far away as Australia to teach and entertain. We are also honored to support the mission of the Richmond Reproductive Freedom Project and Safe Harbor Shelter in educating about health, relationships and healthy sexuality. https://safeharborshelter.com
