We are so grateful to the following groups for hosting donation drives for Safe Harbor this February! The items collected will help support those surviving sexual and domestic violence in our community. These donations allow us to dedicate our financial resources into the services we provide to survivors of sexual and domestic violence.

If you would like to host a drive, please contact Jodi Leonard (Jodi@safeharborshelter.com) to get a list of our most needed items.

The following groups donated to Safe Harbor in February 2014:

Fast Track

Valentine Woman’s Club

Kanawha Woman’s Club

GFWC Worthington Woman’s Club

Special thanks to Allison Breast Center for donating beautiful, comfortable new (to us) furniture, which helped transform our waiting area into a more welcoming space!

On February 9th, Women’s Multisports of Richmond hosted the 2014 Crankrising – a bicycle scavenger hunt to benefit Safe Harbor.  Each two-person team received a list of local participating stores, then headed out on bicycles to see how many items they can scavenge and carry back to the finish line.  The fastest riders to navigate the streets and checkout lines received prizes.  Speed did not dictate the winner.  There was also a perishable item on the list that required skill to deliver.  The items were delivered to our emergency safe house in time for Valentine’s Day.

Thank you Women’s Multisports of Richmond for this fun and unique way to support our work!
