Handbags for Hope 2012 raised funds and awareness to support Safe Harbor, a local agency dedicated to serving those impacted by sexual and domestic violence. The event was held 2/18/2012 at the Science Museum of Virginia.

Kat Simons served as the host for the evening with over 150 persons in attendance. Handbags for Hope raised nearly $6,000 for Safe Harbor’s programs that provide critical support those impacted by sexual and domestic violence. Handbags for Hope featured live and silent auctions of new, gently used and vintage handbags as well as food, beverages and live entertainment provided by the Katz Jazz Ensemble.

The event was organized by Cindi Johnson, Donna Buhrnman, Margaryta Bourgeois, Pam Adams, Connie Pryor, Christy Walsh-Smith, Tammy Smiley, Tammy Tate, Nancy Boayer, Louise Cullather, Jodi Ottaviano, Denise Cosner and Kelly Roy.
