So often, the person who works behind the scene does not get due credit for the small things they do that have a huge impact. Angela Bridgeforth
Behind the scenes work keeps Safe Harbor going. It may not be glamorous to sort donations, scan documents or make RHART bags but these tasks are invaluable acts of service. We honor the work our administrative support team volunteers provide.
Since Fall 2010, Jenny Epes has faithfully served the Administrative Support team. Driven by personal experiences with intimate partner violence, Jenny sought a way to give back and support others. She selflessly serves the agency and the survivors we serve.
Jenny is always looking for ways to fit volunteering into her schedule. Once she returned to school, she was unable to serve on the direct service teams she previously had. She has become the “go-to” volunteer for the Administrative Support team.
Last Christmas, Jenny saved the day! Our community’s generosity had over-run Development Manager Jodi Leonard’s office (she couldn’t even walk around her office!) and all staff were busy supporting Safe Harbor’s programs. A desperate call for help was promptly answered by Jenny. She arrived, sorted on her hands and knees and brought organization to chaos.
Whenever there is a call for help, Jenny answers the call. I am so grateful for her willingness to serve. Angela Bridgeforth
We are so grateful to our members of Safe Harbor’s Administrative Support Team. Your service is appreciated! Thank you!!!
During the month of April, we will be highlighting each of Safe Harbor’s volunteer teams and a member of each team. We hope you’ll enjoy learning about the valuable service our volunteers provide to support those who have experienced sexual and/or domestic violence and our work to promote healthy relationships and healthy sexuality. We could not do all that we do without our dedicated volunteers!!! Thank you all for your support.
