It is estimated that 1 in 3 youth experience some form of abuse in their relationships and that 2/3 of those youth never report it to a trusted adult (see here for reference). Teen Dating Violence can influence many components of a youth’s life including school performance, relationships with friends and family, physical well-being due to injuries and emotional health.
February 4 is designated “It’s Time to Talk Day.” How can you have a conversation with the youth in your life to address Teen Dating Violence and promote healthy relationships? There are tips and resources on the “It’s Time to Talk Day” website.
