The Festival of Hope brings community members together in support of Safe Harbor, the only sexual and domestic violence agency in Henrico County. Please join us to support our mission: to help survivors of sexual and domestic violence to transform their lives, and to promote healthy relationships for all.
The event will feature holiday-themed trees and wreaths available for purchase through a silent auction, as well as many other silent and live auction items. Join us as we bring the community together for an evening of holiday cheer. All proceeds from this event will support Safe Harbor. In addition, all donations will be acknowledged in our program and at the event!
THE 2015 BEACON OF HOPE AWARD RECIPIENTS
The Beacon of Hope is given annually to an individual or organization instrumental to empowering survivors of sexual and domestic violence and/or promoting healthy relationships. This year we are recognizing the forensic nursing teams at both VCU Medical Center and Bon Secours Richmond Health System, who work with survivors on the front lines of domestic and sexual violence by using their medical expertise to recover physical evidence of abuse and assault.
These specialized professionals collaborate with law enforcement and social service agencies across Central Virginia, and their work enables criminal prosecution in cases of domestic violence, sexual assault or child sexual abuse.
