We are thrilled to offer a group for teens focused on healthy relationships and healthy sexuality!!! This is a first of its kind group here in RVA and will be offered in partnership with our friends at the Virginia League for Planned Parenthood.
The group will be a fun, safe environment and will utilize evidence-based curricula to promote healthy relationships and healthy sexuality for participants. We welcome all teens and are seeking a diverse group!
The group will run for 10 weeks and will be closed (meaning who starts the group will finish the group and new group members won’t be added once the group starts). The group will start in mid-August.
Teens will learn about healthy and unhealthy friendships, dating relationship red flags, and ways to make and maintain healthy relationships in their lives. Teens will also learn about safe dating, safe sex, pregnancy & STI prevention, and healthy decision making. The group will be facilitated by Vanessa Durrant, MSW and Emily Yeatts, MSW, MPH.
